The first Rudram 11 event was held in Cape Town in the Sufi Temple on Saturday 30 November 2024.
During Rudram 11, the Sri Rudram is chanted 11 times for world peace and harmony. The event commenced with the chanting of the Ganapathi Prarthana and Gayatri mantra, accompanied by the rhythmic chanting of the Namakam and Chamakam. Participants from various walks of life joined their voices in harmony, creating an atmosphere charged with spiritual energy.

The Sufi temple is located in a tranquil environment, and the core teachings of the Sufi movement are closely linked to the underlying Message of the Sri Rudram. "The Object of the Sufi Movement is the uniting of life and religion, which seem to have been kept so far apart, so that everyday life is transformed and that every action may bear some spiritual fruit." - https://sufimovement.co.za/the-object-of-the-sufi-movement/

The essence of Rudram - if we look at the meanings at the highest level, is about recognising and realising the absolute consciousness as Rudra in everyone and everything - even the wicked
